May 29, 2008 - Zeus is Euthanized: Poor Zeus was a victim of the wrong people in his life from the “get-go” as are many troubled dogs out there. Unfortunately, regardless of all the effort put forth locally to bring safety into Zeus’ life, the effort failed due to the usual cause: HUMAN LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF CANINE BEHAVIOR and how to properly deal with it. The result is this untimely end of Zeus’ life at three years old.

February 3, 2008 - IMPORTANT INFORMATION! Great News: Zeus no longer needs a new home.
Paws Dog Daycare - Port Charlotte, FL
I am happy to announce that Zeus has been adopted by a permanent family. He left the State of Florida late this week where he will no longer be subjected to the restraints put on him by the Sarasota County Court System. The family who adopted Zeus has a large farm and Zeus will be able to run free with two other German Shepherds. He will have no other responsibilities other than enjoying the rest of his life and being a dog. This truly is a loving environment for Zeus and I thank everyone who helped Zeus in the past. I will not be disclosing the name of the family or the location where Zeus has gone as this is the time for Zeus to be reborn and have his happily ever after.
January 22, 2008 - I learned today that Zeus’ “dad”, Gilbert, passed away about ten days ago as a result of a long illness. Zeus’ “mother” is now not able to keep Zeus within her new circumstances. If you know of anyone having experience in raising German Shepherd Dogs or are interested yourself in adopting Zeus notify us at these e-mail addresses:

This is an update on Zeus. Some of you may have heard that Zeus's owner recently passed away. His widow is moving to the East coast of Florida. Zeus has been enrolled at Paws Dog Daycare in Port Charlotte for the since August of 2007. Here he has learned to become a good member or our pack. He has learned great socialization skills and gets along well with all of the trainers and all of the other dogs here at Paws. Ms. Otero has decided to surrender the dog to Englewood Animal Rescue (A no kill animal shelter in the SW FL area). Since we at Paws work with E.A.R.S. we are currently sheltering Zeus until we can find a proper family to place him with. I can tell you from my experience working with Zeus he is not a dangerous animal. He will make someone a great German Shepherd. He is waiting for the right person to give him a chance to show them a life time of love.
Webmaster Note:
Make a donation to E.A.R.S or Paws Dog Daycare for Zeus’ care.
